Team members of Policy Research Center have been invited by the Institute of Tax Administration of Tanzanian Revenue Authority to organize a course on Taxation Issues in Mergers and Acquisitions and Business Restructuring. The course took place in Dar es Salaam and involved a group of 20 experienced tax inspectors and investigators mainly from the Large Taxpayers unit. The course have reviewed the different aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions as well as Business Restructuring including the Capital Gains considerations, Cross-border tax considerations, Tax Treaty issues, Transfer Pricing issues, pre- and post acquisition aspects.
